In this post I will reveal my personal step by step guide to starting a fully professional blog and that will actually help you to make money online.
I’m going to divide these full steps into two main categories
Creative part
Technical part
Don’t afraid of seeing the technical part it’s simple. At first let’s move to Creative part it’s the most essential part. Ok let’s see what we have to learn,
The Creative part
Find and select a topic /Niche to blog
Before talking all the steps this is the most essential part. You need a topic or we called a “Niche” to blog about. Ok so how we can select a Niche?
Good question let me explain to you,
My advice to you is finding a niche you actually passionate about.
Do I need a passion to start a blog? If just starting a blog what will happen?
Yes you can start a blog without passion so why I’m saying that? I have seen so many bloggers and I have work with them so when you start something you passionate you no one wants to push you to write or engage with that its happen automatically! And also it’s really helpful when you going to create content you have good knowledge about the area you are going to blog.
So, how to find your passion? It’s a different topic but I’m going to give you some helpful tips,
- Think something you love: you love to cooking/ traveling..etc
- Think about your hobbies
- Think about your interesting areas
These ideas will help you to select a niche to start your blog
Research
The next step is researching the competitors and the keywords. Why you need the research because you are going to make money by blogging so just like other business at the beginning you need to identify there is a market demand into your niche.
So as an example let’s say you choose to write about playing crickets. Think like a reader so what they are going to search?
“How to start crickets” “what are the best methods in crickets” “how to play cricket bowling” “how to play cricket shots”
Like that you have to think and type those keywords in Google. Then you will find hundreds of the blog post about that. So do I need to afraid?
No, You don’t if you genuinely know the area you are going to write and you can add more values to the readers you don’t have to worry about that. But you have to find High search volume and low competitive keywords to start writing your blog. So how can I do it?
There are free and paid tools to identify that, the free ones are
Google keyword planner: But you need a Google ad account to use this
Keywords Everywhere: a free chrome extension
Ubersuggest: A free tool
What are the paid once,
These tools will help you to evaluate the keyword volume and the competition
Remember to choose High search volume and low competitive keywords.
Think a name
Just like other business you need a name to your blog make sure it is easy to remember you can build a brand name on it. And also you have to think about your domain name we are going to talk about it very soon.
Now we have successfully completed all the creative part steps. So now let’s move into the technical part. Don’t worry they are not complicated you can learn very simply
The technical part
Choose your Domain Name
What is a Domain name? Simple everyone has an address right? just like that, When you search something on Google, Google will find that web address. Just like that you need a web address to your blog
In the above step we select a name for our blog so try to buy that name if you can’t get it at least try to buy a domain name with your one of the keyword.
Ex: your niche is playing crickets and your business name is crazy crickets
So Try to buy crazycrickets.com crazycrickets.net
If the domain is not available try to include your keyword “crickets” with another purchase
Like ilvovecrickets.com

Choose your blogging platform
What is a blogging platform? You need a space to design your blog, write your post and publish them right? So we need a platform to do this. There are several platforms you can start your blog some platforms are Free like,
Blogger: Most popular FREE platform by Google
But??
When you start a blog I highly recommend you to not to use these free platforms. Why?
Because there is some limitation in every free platform, like Free to design, and Monetization. If you don’t have a simple budget and you need to try the blogging then the best platform is “Blogger “go and try it right now
So if we see the paid options wordpress.org is the best option. Why I’m telling this when you create a blog with self-hosted WordPress you have the freedom to choose thousands of free or premium themes and plugins to design it fully professionally. but you need a simple technical knowledge to set up or you can use a freelancer to do so.
Choose your hosting
What is hosting? I will explain you simply, when you creating your blog you need a place/ storage to store your site data for that we need a hosting provider.
If l you look at the above mention free platforms they will provide you the hosting but I’m repeating you have to build your site without using those free platforms to gain more freedom and monetization options.
So now you have to choose a hosting provider.
Choose a theme and build your blog
If you are using a self-hosted WordPress site you have to choose a good theme for your blog there is hundred and thousands of free themes so choose a one that will suit you.if you have the budget choose a premium theme that will suit you.and then customize it like add your Logo or name and add the all necessary pages to that blog like
About, Contact, Privacy Policy, Your terms
These are the most essential pages
If you use an above mentioned free platforms then you have to very limited options and themes to use.
Time to play
Now you have your own blog! Wow! Congratulations!
Now you have successfully completed all the necessary steps. Now what?
Now you have to start writing the content. remember at the beginning when we researching our niche and topics we figure out some keywords so use them and do more research about the keyword make a list and target those keywords and start writing your blog posts
Create your own Schedule
Create your own Schedule create blog content and you need to remember we need to continuously create the content to attract readers constantly. That’s why I have advised you to select a topic/ Niche you are really passionate about.
Monetization
To earn money you have to put an ad or affiliate marketing into your blog posts and there are many ways to do so.read more about
Create social Channels
Create social media account or pages/groups/ boards..etc they are so essential to stand out among the competitors and also to build your brand and get more readers to your blog.
Publish and promote your content
